Application Support Analyst
Description:
In this IT job the worker is responsible for the overall support associated with PeopleSoft applications and development and must define/review process flows and determine automation opportunities. The worker must have a strong maintenance and/or development knowledge of SQR, Application Designer, PeopleCode, Unix/Linux and SQL, as well as knowledge of Application Engine, Integration Tools, Crystal, Nvision and Application\Web servers. The worker would also be required to support other smaller applications such as Kronos and APLink. The worker must determine and resolve programming problems utilizing knowledge of the tools PeopleSoft uses, i.e., tracing SQRs/Cobol programs; debugging PeopleCode; tracing Applications Engines, etc. and interface with Quality Assurance, Change Control and the Business Units. The worker must understand the basic concepts of the system development life cycle: requirements gathering, business analysis, technical analysis, development, testing and change control.
Salary Potential:
Programmer Analyst Level C: $81,097.74 - $86,176.27 - $91,254.80 - $96,313.49 - $101,392.02
Education Required:
A degree or diploma in technology or business or a combination of education and relevant experience.

UIT exists to provide a wide range of information technology services to York's faculty, staff and students in support of the University's academic, research and administrative goals. Within the Application & Integration unit as part of the SIS team and reporting to the Assistant Manager Production and Operations the Programmer provides application development and support for the Student Information System involving database queries and SQL procedures having shared responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of system applications developed by other members of the SIS development team. This programmer also writes procedures that help automate the implementation methods used by the SIS production team
Salary Potential:
$59,501
Education Required:
1-2 years relevant and current experience with University Degree, or 2-3 years relevant and current experience with College Diploma.
